Register your Scarecrow by Friday 24th January to be eligible for a prize!
Scarecrows voted ‘Most Popular’ at the Middleton Country Fair – 1st Prize $200, 2nd Prize $150, 3rd Prize $50.
FREE workshop at West Winds 10am-2pm on Monday 13th January if you need some help or inspiration to create your scarecrow. Materials available, but feel free to bring your own, as well as your creative ideas. All ages welcome.
BYO lunch. Booking required.
To enter the Scarecrow Competition please provide:
Your name and contact details
Scarecrow name and location
Photo of scarecrow entry (standard 15 x 10cm hard copy or by email)
You can enter in person at West Winds Community Centre, by email (westwinds@woodbridge.com.au) or by post (PO Box 59, Woodbridge, 7162).
Note: if you are unable to take a photo, please send us a request and we will be happy to take it for you.
Display your scarecrow on the Channel Highway between Kettering and Verona Sands OR on the grass verge of Beach Rd, Middleton.
Scarecrows are to remain on display from 26 January until 26 February.
Winners are chosen by public vote at the Middleton Country Fair on Saturday 1st February 2020 and announced at 2.30pm (voting closes 2.15pm)
We reserve the right to refuse entry in the scarecrow competition to scarecrows deemed inappropriate by the South Channel Ratepayers & Residents Association (SCRRA).
West Winds coordinates the Scarecrow Competition for the Middleton Country Fair (run by South Channel Ratepayers & Residents Association) and the $400 in prizes are sponsored by the South Channel Garden Club.
