The Art Lounge hosts a wide variety of exhibitions from emerging and established artists including themed exhibitions. For current exhibition information check the ‘COMING UP’ page.

Would you like to exhibit your own work?

We offer the exhibition space for free and charge commission on any sales. Or you might like to enter some work into one of our themed exhibitions. Contact West Winds for a copy of the Art Lounge Guidelines.

WEEKLY

Thursdays: 9.30am – 12 noon

Meets every Thursday in the Art Lounge from 9.30am to 1.00pm. Bring along your art materials, some morning tea, and work with other like minded artists in an informal supportive setting.

Open to West Winds members to work on projects, learn new skills or skill share. We have a wide range of tools, equipment and experienced volunteers who are able to help with projects.

A creative mindfulness group for people who like to chat in a supportive group while being creative. Bring a creative project along or come and learn something new. Occasional group outings. All welcome.

Founded by Woodbridge School alumni and the actor who played Lily Poulett-Harris in WATCH’s 2022 production Lily, Isabella Briffa is deeply passionate about growing the local theatre scene through opportunities in education and creation.

Every second Saturday of the month. In the Bunkhouse at West Winds Community Centre

Need a little or a lot of help with that sewing project that has been lurking in the back of the cupboard for years? Knowing how to sew is such a useful skill for your wardrobe, your family, your home, and the environment.

Would you like to learn from an industry specialist or construct a prescribed project?

Are you a sewer and would like to come along to help motivate you with your own project?

Would you like a convenient place to drop off repairs?

A spinning group held on the 4th Tuesday of each month in the Bunkhouse. Beginners and experienced spinners welcome. Bring along your wheel, fleece, and learn new techniques. Spinning wheels available for new spinners wanting to learn. Knitters welcome.
